ESO2 VOCABULARY: SPORTS

One of the last tasks you handed in had to do with the biography of a famous sportsman or sportswoman. Who did you choose? Do they practise a sport you like? Do you have enough vocabulary to talk about this sport?

Be careful not to end up like some of our most famous footballers (Thank you David for sending this funny video to me).

This is a list of links to learn some basic vocabulary related to sports. Exercises 1-5 belong to http://www.learningchocolate.com/. Click the links and do the exercises you will find at the top of the page.

2ESO TEARS IN HEAVEN

Whenever I think of the disaster in Japan this song comes to mind. Here you have the link to this song from Subingles.com and a listening exercise to do. I recommend you to start with the beginner level. If you find it too easy and feel confident enough try the intermediate one.

ESO2 SPORTS

Do you practise any sports? To be really good at a sport you have to start at an early age. Maybe you don't know, but in your class you have almost professional athletes. I'm sure some of them began when they were really young, as the children in the videos.

Have you recognised any of your classmates?
Now, I would like you to choose a sportsman or sportswoman to write about. Look for information and tell me about him/her. You should hand it in by the end of next week.
